GNDE Membership

The Global Network of Education Deans (GNDE) offers membership, affiliation and participation in several ways. These include:
  • since GNDE is primarily a network of networks, we rely on several national and regional associations of Deans of Education to lead our activities. An interim committee of such associations has started the Network and will formulate a process for recruiting and rotating the various Associations through an eventual Steering Committee
  • there are many global networks of educators, education researchers, specialists and others with a particular focus on broad issues such as equity, technology, health & development and others. GNDE will seek to affiliate with these networks to enhance their and our effectiveness
  • the position of Dean of Education is often preceded by a preparatory period and followed by a time of reflection and scholarship. The GNDE hopes to benefit from the innovations and experiences of these faculty leaders in our various activities.
  • there are many worthy global initiatives whose value can be increased by the active participation of Deans of Education. GNDE will select and approach some of these for possible collaboration. This can include benefiting from the knowledge and advice developed in our national and regional associations on issues of global interest and concern.
A global network...
  • led by regional and national associations
  • linked with global networks concerned with education
  • offering faculty leaders an opportunity to collaborate and contribute
  • promoting equity and educational success through selected global initiatives
