GNDE Activities

The Global Network of Deans of Education (GNDE) is undertaking several global activities as part of its work to support Deans of Education. These include the networking activities listed below on this page and the representation activities noted on this page of this web site.

GNDE Networking Activities:

  • mapping out national and regional associations of education deans and their current activities
  • communicating with faculties of education across world regions to invite their participation in the network
  • planning the first in-person International Symposium 'The Essential Role of Faculties of Education for a Sustainable Transformation in Education' at the University of Innsbruck, Austria from 2 - 4 September 2024 (by invitation)
  • participating in the Transforming Education UN Pre-Summit 28-30 June 2022 at UNESCO HQ in Paris
  • participating in the consortium of groups working on teacher education/development related to health and social development convened by the FRESH Partnership (a committee of UN agencies, donors and NGO’s)
  • collaborating with the Global Learning Equity Network led by the University of Newcastle in Australia
  • an initial side meeting at the conference of the American Education Research Association (AERA) held from 5-9 April 2019 in Toronto, Canada, established the need for this global network of deans of education
